CALENDAR

Based on predominantly US based body styles (either Ford, General Motors or Dodge) they feature a full tube chassis and a 400 cubic inch, naturally aspirated engine typically putting out around 1200 horsepower. Engine builders will spend hundreds of hours away from the racetrack, working on concepts and ideas and dyno testing to find as little as 2 or three horsepower. 

The drivers in Pro Stock are amongst the busiest in all or Drag Racing with every gear shift made by the driver without the aid of air shifting or paddle shifts, with each gear change happening within 50 rpm of the target range. Pro Stock is also one of the most aero-sensitive cars in the sport with every edge of the car smoothed or rounded to allow the car to cut through the air at over 200 mph. 

Pro stock is the ultimate combination of driver and car, with races often decided by tens of thousandths of a second.
